the champ is here . . .
It's very rare that I can fall asleep sitting up. But there are a few occasions every now and then when I just get really drowsy all of the sudden and can't stay awake. The most memorable was my senior year of high school when I went to all-district choir (back before I started playing guitar and could actually sing on key.) Anyway, during the rehearsal after lunch, the director was going over the pronunciations for a song in Swahili. Well, I got really drowsy and started nodding off. So, I never did learn the Swahili for that song, and during the performance I just had to sing "watermelon" the whole time.
Well, tonight I went to hear Dr. Tony Evans speak. And he is a TREMENDOUS speaker. Unfortunately, I had another one of those drowsy spells and couldn't stay awake. So I missed half of it. But the half I heard was awesome. He really convicted me about how little the church has done in the way of racial reconcilliation. In fact, the church was the problem for so many years. Too often, we cite worship style as the reason that our churches are divided among racial lines. But, I've observed that people of any race are willing to worship in any style. The division is much deeper than choice of music. It's really kind of tragic that so few people are concerned about this.
Anyway, after my "nap," the group was going to hotel Ruwanda. I really wanted to see it, but I'm so tired that I came home. So here I am, all alone. So, I decided it was time to indulge in my new addiction, "PONG!!!"
Tonight, the World Series of Pong was held right here in my house. And here are the results (best of 7):
Game 1: Computer 21, Bryant 20 Game 2: Bryant 21, Computer 17 Game 3: Bryant 21, Computer 12 Game 4: Computer 21, Bryant 13 Game 5: Bryant 21, Computer 14 Game 6; Bryant 21, Computer 13
Bryant wins 4 games to 2!!!!!!!!
I now move up to the advanced level. I hope you all enjoy my posts about pong, because there is going to be a LOT more!!!!!
