IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIt's Friiiiiiiiiiiiday
I came to the realization that my life is way to boring to record in a blog. So, I haven't posted in a few days.
1. Well, the campus ministry search has some new life. I learned of a new opening yesterday. It's kind of a longshot. The position is a worship minister, but I think not having a music degree will hurt me in this particular one. We'll see. It's out of my hands.
2. I thought about faith about over the past few days. I've wondered about what acting in faith should be in certain situations. Is faith doing something and expecting God to deliver the results? Or is it sitting tight and waiting for him to open the door? I think both are vailid in certain situations. I'm not sure which applies to mine.
3. The ending to Without A Trace made me mad last night. If you saw it, you know what I mean.
4. I decided on my alternate carreer. It's based on Bill Ekhardts reply to that message, along with a few inside jokes. I'm moving to Nashville and becoming a street musician. I'm going to put on sunglasses like I'm blind and will play. Bill will tuck one arm in his shirt and beat on a bucket with the other arm. This is based on an idea my friend Robert Mastin and I had back in our WKU days. However, instead of doing worship music, we will do popular music, but will change the words to the words of "O Suzanna," a game Bill and I have been playing for years. Try it. Start with the song 500 miles. (Cause I'm going to Al-a-bam-a with a ban-jo on my knee-ee). Then try Yellow Submarine (Al-a-bama with a banjo on my knee, banjo on my knee, banjo on my knee). Good times.
5. This weekend . . . going to the NATI!!!! Alumni banquet. It's nice going back there. It's nice to be missed.
