Cowbells and Draft Picks
1. I was at an event that was part of the KY Derby festival on Friday. They were playing an hour long montage of Beatles songs. As I listened to these songs, I made a huge discovery into why the Beatles were so popular. They use a lot of cowbell. Probably in about 20% of their songs, which isn't nearly enough, but more than most bands. Therefore, the British invasion is directly linked to the cowbell.
2. I watched the second day of the NFL draft, only to be highly disappointed. Only one of Kentucky's 4 prospects were drafted. It made me wonder what it would be like to sit there and not hear your name called on draft day. After working all of those years chasing your dreams. Then it occured to me: I just recently went "undrafted" as well. Only I didn't miss out on millions of dollars.
3. Does it get any funnier than walking into a grocery store and hearing Captain and Teneal playing through the speakers. I mean, the mental image of the guy playing the organ wearing a captain's hat makes me laugh every time.
4. Speaking of laughter, check out the George Bush Conspiracy Generator. A fun time for the whole family.
5. Hope she learned her lesson.
